Crest of Mount Edgcumbe Lodge

On Saturday 20th December 2025, W.Bro David Wilmot was presented with his 50 year in Freemasonry certificate by W.Bro John Peters (Past Metropolitan Grand Inspector) at the Christmas meeting of Crest of Mount Edgcumbe Lodge No 7431 . The meeting was held at Mark Masons Hall 86 St James’s Street London and attended by many guests and visitors, including wives, partners and friends of the members.

W.Bro David gave a resume of his life in Freemasonry and W.Bro John also gave an insight into Davids Masonic career to date, which was mightily impressive. Tributes were also paid to David from W.Bro Mark Schito SLGR (Sec 86 Craft Lodge Association) W.Bro Stuart Palmer SLGR (Lodge D.C) and W.Bro Geoff Mesher LGR (Worshipful Master). Following the presentation, an explanation of the layout of the Lodge was given by W.Bro Andy Symonds PPGReg (East Kent).

The wives and non Masonic guests then retired from the Lodge and the Masonic business was completed.

A Christmas themed dinner was then enjoyed by all. During the meal, Carols were sung, along with some modern Christmas favourites, and before proceedings were ended the members of Crest of Mount Edgumbe sang ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’ to their guests. A most memorable occasion enjoyed by all!
